I've been given the chance to make a character in a new group. And although my character was raised in a monestary in Waterdeep. I thought it would be fun if my character was a friend of one of the other adventurers because they met each other before they met the rest of the group.

However: My character originates from Waterdeep (human monk) and the other guy is looking for a forest to be raised with fellow elves (half-elf ranger). But we aren't familair with forgotten realms geology and most maps dont make any sense.

In short: Do you guys know of any good elven forrests in the area around Waterdeep? It doesn't have to be super close. Just as long as it isn't across te globe or something

EDIT: Ow, we're playing 3.5

I was thinking the Ardeep as well. :)

For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird
