Might I also suggest that the mods move it to the Candlekeep Inn section of the forums since that's where most of the RPing aspects of the site occur? |
I actually DO know everything. I just have a very poor index of my knowledge.

I thought that I had lost your e-mail, so please ignore the PM. If the character layout looks good to you, then let me know and I'll start posting after I get back. Till then, good luck to you all, and I look forward to 'meeting' you all in the taproom. |

Now that we've dealt with components, I'll put the last touches on my sheet and get it emailed to you when I get back from work this evening. |
Doggedly converting 3e back to what D&D should be... Sigh... And now 4e as well. |

I also grabbed my copy of Aurora's to look through, and purchase, some items. :) Otherwise, to answer the book question, right now all I'm using is the PHB and Demihuman Deities (cause my class is from DD. :)) |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

Ok, I think my guy's done, and he's off to the DM for review. Let me know if it's ok, Barshevy, and I'll jump in.
Btw, are we setting up a thread where we post our sheets, or are we keeping them to ourselves? |

We can use this thread to post up our sheets (just bookmark to to page your own sheet is on.)
Let's not do so until the main adventure has started though. |

I missed this. I played my first games during the twilight of 2e. Would you be willing to take on one more aimless adventurer? |

My friends, I have to call it a night. My gaming group just showed up, and I'm afraid that we have an elven Crusade to get back to. I'll be back either later tonight or tomorrow morning. |

No problem. We'll likely open up another game using the module "Haunted Halls of Eveningstar" or "Doom of Daggerdale". Please keep on sending me your character ideas and sheets.

Notation: the role-playing stuff is generally in the Candlekeep Inn section. Should I move y'all's RP thread to there? |

Sure, I wouldn't mind. It would be nice to take our place amongst the other great adventurers that find themselves herein. |

Well, that was quick :D
Sadly, I had some additional time constraints come up for the next few weeks, possibly months, so I wont be able to take part. Dont want to leave you all hanging if time runs out. |

No problem at all. Just to let you guys know, if you want a "leave of absence" just let me know. I can NPC your character during that time, and you can resume whenever you want. |

I've got character sheets from the following players. Please let me know if you've sent one and I left you out of this list:
Kuje - Cyreela Merrymar Tyr - Keldon Noras Ashe - Lithôniel Hoondatha - Nagrath Penknight - Valthlorin Ghost King - Valak Myrthul

Looking through the sheets, we have the following classes represented:
Greenforester (a cleric) - Cyreela Wild Mage - Keldon Ranger - Lithôniel Tunnel rat (illusionist/thief) - Nagrath Bladesinger (fighter/mage) - Valthlorin Fighter - Valak
So we have a representation of the four main classes (fighter, cleric, magic user, thief.) Also the modules recommend six first-level characters. So at this point I'll have to end the recruitment for this adventure. Those who missed out, please continue working on and sending me your characters. We'll get to you in another adventure that we'll open as soon as we get the current one rolling.

OK this is interesting : five out of six members are some flavor of Neutral. And Good predominates as well. It's safe to say the party alignment is Neutral Good. |

Also may be of interest : the average age of the party is around 50. Of course the gnome and gold elf's ages skews things. Without them, the average is around 23. |

And while we're on the subject of comparative attributes, our mage from the Unapproachable East, Keldon, is a giant at 6'7". Valak, our fighter from the West, is no slouch either at 6'5". And Valthlorin towers over most of his elven kin at 6'2". |
