| Btw, Cardoc, I didn't mention it earlier, but I'm really glad you decided to play a ranger instead of a paladin. A ranger, Nagrath can work with. Him and a paladin, though, would have... issues. |
Doggedly converting 3e back to what D&D should be... Sigh... And now 4e as well. |

Indeed, it would have made for interesting party dynamics. Although stabbing a horse through the head, dead or not, doesn't sit well with a ranger either!
I mostly wanted to play a paladin because a)I never have before, b)I thought the group could use the extra healing, and c)I thought he'd be easy to work into the story as being from the temple in Shadowdale. Although Barshevy fit Bregan in no problems just the same. |

LOL, Please tell me you're LG or LN because this group is driving Valak crazy with so much chaos! =P
Yeah a paladin would have been interesting to add in, but I like Bregan so far all the same. Just with a doppleganger running about Valak is a bit suspicious of new faces. After all someone he thought to be Ariton wasn't and now he has vowed to himself to kill the doppleganger for disgracing Ariton's honor and name. Killing him with the man's sword that the doppleganger killed himself no less. Poetic justice in Valak's eyes. :)

Hard for him to be a LN ranger...
Personally, I'm looking forward to being able to see him in all his naked glory on the spreadsheet next to our current line-up. |

Don't know the restrictions in 2nd edition, but in 3.x edition it was possible. I usually saw a LN ranger being of the King's/Lord's yeoman that guarded over the wilds they claimed from bandits, monsters, or keeping an eye out for possible invasion and giving word to him to marshal a defense.
But I was just joking regardless, Hoondatha. Just saying Valak would welcome another Lawful character to the group since Keldon and him seem to be the ones that adhere more to order then the rest of the group. And I'd like to see those stats as well someday, but I'm sure they will be posted when the time is right. |

| In 2e, rangers have to be good. They can be any of the three good varieties, but they have to be good. |

Cardoc: Nice character, man! Was just joking around earlier, but thanks for sharing just the same.

Ok, I know I said Nagrath was probably steering clear of this, but I'm really tempted to bring him in right now. Trouble is, his idea of hostage negotiations probably won't be to anyone else's liking. |

I'm counting on Nagrath spotting Whisper leaving the town and doing what he does best. A knife in the back and this time hopefully he cuts off the head just to be sure. Or should Valak and him butcher him like they did the Zhents and put his head on a pike for good measure this time.

| Btw, Tyr, did you roll to see if your Cha increased when you went up in level? That's a pretty amazing ability for a kit, it'd be a shame to forget to make use of it. |

Hello, All.
I'm currently running the 2e Sword of the Dales trilogy adventure as well, but I'm using 4e rules, as an experiment. I thought you might be interested to see the set I made up for my PC's encounter with the Zhents at the rock slide in front of Shraevyn's tomb in Giant's Craw Valley. The set is made with pieces from products by Fat Dragon Games. Don't pay to much attention to the minis. I just threw them on there for scale. Enjoy.

| Who haven't we heard from in the IC thread? And who is Whisper talking to? That's a pretty vague post, Barshevy. |

Thats what I was wondering.... I wasn't sure whom Whisper was talking to. |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

I don't think Cyr has posted on the oath thing yet, but that's all.
I've worded my oath carefully so that the moment he leaves the premises its fair game, with Nag in the wings.
btw Hoon, thanks for the reminder I totally forgot. Will probably roll it later as i'm kind rushed off my feet atm. |

| Yes, Bregan is keeping his mouth shut counting on the fact that Whisper doesn't know who he is. I don't think he'd be one to break an oath but if he isn't bound by one, all bets are off. |

It's the will of the gods! :) Or maybe Sune is being whimsical. :) |
