I don't have access to my books at the moment, but does anyone know if and where Undrentide has been detailed anywhere other than in the video game? I'm thinking about fleshing it out (Pre-Fall of Netheril).

I might be wrong about this, but I don't think that Undrentide was covered in any previous FR lore. For all we know (in case you didn't play the game), It was one the the flying city of Netheril, one of the three I think. It crashed and buried in Anauroch, then it's Mythallar faded. A medusa then used an artifact (can't remember what it was) to re-activate the Mythallar (and I think she turned into a lich at the same time), and then made the city fly again, only to fall again after she got killed.
I would be greatly interested if you found any additionnal lore, since I use the Shadovar alot in my current campaign.
I used Undrentide's ruins in one of my campaign, but I mostly used the info I got from the game, and the rest I just made it up. |

We know that Undrentide existed in the official Realms as per GHotR. Everythiing else that we know about it comes from the game (the locale was created for the game). |

-Yup. The only thing about the canon Undrentide is that existed as a High Netherese enclave, on the location the map of Netheril in AGHotR indicates. Anything else is not official. That said, of course, in cases like this, I find we have to rely on the games for information. No other information out there exists for Undrentide. Until something new (and official) pops up, all we can base things on is the video game. |

I'll probably run through the game to collect some info in order to flesh out the floating city during its Netherese heyday. |

It's not a bad game. I played it a long while back, but IIRC you probably won't find that much in the game about the actual history of the place. I think you'll find that there's plenty of room to make up your own lore. |

I must say that of all NWN games/expansion, it's the one I enjoyed the less. It's still worth finishing. I think that you meet the tortured soul of Karsus at some time, that was cool. IIRC, it "confirmed" my theory that Karsus wasn't evil, he was just overconfident and loved the power, like any wizard. He miscalculated and things got out of hand (waaay out of hand in fact). |

Which will be perfect. In a way, it'll make it a lot easier. Hopefully I can squeeze it in a Candlekeep Compendium at some point even... |

Eh...I don't think you meet the Karsus, but rather the conception of him used in the "religious argument" book you come across in the ruins. Just like how you meet the characters in a romance novel you also find--none of them are "real" people. |

I did not know his stats/alignment were canon somewhere. From which source? I felt that considering what he's done (Karsus's Folly, killing a goddess and destroying a kingdom and countless of lives) it was only left to the gamer to ASSUME that he was evil. As a DM, that's how I picture him in the general opinion, but a few sages (only a handful) know better (more N, or CN). Damn, and I thought I was clever in my assumptions .

Pretty sure it says so in "Winds of Netheril" in the Netheril boxed set that he is CN (which makes sense based on how he acts). |

It's in the Netheril boxed set, which is free from the Wizards downloads page. It's specifically on page 116 of the pdf, or page 114 of the Winds of Netheril book. |

Great, thank you. I'll check it out as soon as I get back from work (I know, I should not lurk in forums instead of working). |
