Who would you say your favorite character from Baludr's Gate 2 is? Mine would have to be Korgan, he was the man, and how he would make fun of and start dialogue with the good-aligned characters in your party, hilarious.
Mod Edit: Shifted to a more appropriate shelf.

Double kudos for Korgan - I didn't use him til my second time through, and wow did I regret not using him before. Hilarious! |
My latest Realms-based short story, about a bard, a paladin of Lathander and the letter of the law, Debts Repaid. It takes place before the "shattering" and gives the bard Arion a last gasp before he plunges into the present.http://candlekeep.com/campaign/logs/log-debts.htm |

Imoen, and Anomen. But I think this scroll belongs on a different shelf... |

Indeed, it does. *Casts Shift Scroll.*
...
As for my favorite BGII NPC, I just can't avoid my Red Wizard-leanings in this matter, so I'd have to say Edwin Odesseiron. |

I second The Sage on this....the part about Edwin being my favorite NPC in the game that is...smart enough to find (and (mis)use) some of the Nether Scrolls. |

I actually did try the Viconia romance, and enjoyed it. I've tried every standard romance except the Jaheira one, as well as the fan-made Kelsey romance. |

I messed with the game and made a Female "Pimp" character who had ALL romances (all women and Anomen)...kicked them out when the romance was done (except Anomen, he stayed) - used some cheating to rush through the romances of course...and only the Anomen one carried into ToB............hey I'm allowed to use cheats and hacks my sixth time through the game to just experience all it has to offer (I also did all the strongholds with said character, who was a Wild Mage btw) |

True, true, it's possible to do all sorts of things with cheat codes.
Of course, the female NPCs will always refer to the PC as a man (and Anomen will consider the PC as a woman) in the romance dialogs because they are scripted that way. So, just because you can romance everyone at the same time doesn't mean it'll make any sense. |

Yeah I remember my female PC being refered to as a Male (especially by Viconia) all in good fun though |

Was your character cursed with the Girdle of Masculinity/Femininity?
Anyway, I liked most of 'm, but Minsc & Boo are my favorite NPC's |

Minsc is the best character ever, even better than HK-47 from KOTOR. I could not imagine going through the game without him in my party. Here's some quotes for ya to prove it.
(When hiding in shadows) None shall see me, though my battlecry may give me away.
(on casting failure) I turned around to shield Boo and I lost my spell. I am not sorry. |

Lilarcor the +3 two-handed talking sword (thanks to Talen for the quotes):
'I may be an intelligent sword, but I've had no formal edumication.' 'Can we go kill something now, huh?' 'How about now? No?' 'Come on let's kill something NOW!' 'mmmm.... now?' 'What about now?' 'Now? Please? Pretty please?' 'I don't know what you were expecting, but as a sword I'm pretty one-dimensional in what I want.' 'Can we go whack something now?' 'Let's whack something eeeeevvvvillllll....' 'Why don't we go kill that over there?' 'You know, I was a Moonblade once.' 'You really need to clean me. I like to shine!' 'Are we going to kill something now, maybe? Huh?' 'You know, my last owner always said I was sharp and edgy. He was such an ass.' 'I don't chop wood. I am not an axe.' 'Now! Now! Kill something now!! Yeah!' 'Booooo-ring!' '(sigh)' '(double sigh)' 'Wanna go kill that over there? C'mon, let's kill somthin'!'
Combat Lines:
'You deal, I'll cut!' 'Let's see what's inside this one! Yeah!' 'Come get some! Boo-yah!' 'Choke up, dolt, your grip is all wrong!' 'Hands up, kiddies, who wants to die?!' 'Mmmm... tastes like chicken!' 'Sissy fighter! You grab, I'll scratch!' 'Muwahahaha-ha-ha!!' 'You can't be serious!' 'Ooo, that'll leave a mark!' 'Murder! Death!! KILL!!!' 'Who's your daddy!' 'We got a gusher!' 'Are YOU talking to ME?!!' 'Some of my finest work!' 'I'm the best at what I do, and what I do ain't pretty!' 'Yeah! Hit it! Hit it again!' 'I am invincible! Invincible, I say!' 'Wouldn't it be cool if you could dual-wield me?' 'YOINK! Got yer nose!' 'My brother is a +12 Hackmaster!' 'I love the smell of daisies in the morning!' 'Swing harder! Swing harder!!' 'Bring 'em on! I ain't done!' 'Oh yeah!' 'Let's dance!' 'Kill it! Kill it quick before they're all gone!' 'Kill kill kill! Yeah! Cool!!' '...and this one's for grandma, who said I'd never amount to anything more than a butterknife!!' 'Hot butta!' 'You feel lucky, punk?' 'Oooh, I'm shaking! Haha!' 'Oooh, throw a coin in that fountain! Hahaha!'

Viconia, Imoen, Jaheira....and Minsc.
I always though Jaheira too bossy, but I got sympathy when she got killed horribly (in the novel). The Viconia romance was always fun, especially when your pc is a female (needed some patching though). |

I have finished it 4 times concerning the ethical axis of alignment... the first time i finished it with mixed team .. and the other 3 with good, neutral, and evil team...so the best npcs for the 3 axis are: For neutral is Haer Dalis. for good is Minsc and for evil Sarevok ...If i had to choose one from all then i choose Sarevok, he is the best npc although he appears only in the expansion... |

Indeed, Sarevok is worth taking, both for story development and for his fighting prowess. |

Can't go wrong with Minsc, in my book. Though there are points where the dialogue seems grandiose (long villain monologues or overly explicative detail), Minsc's dialogue tended to let you see his very slow wits gradually make connections (for instances, to paraphrase: "the bars, they bend under my berserker strength . . . ooh . . . oh ho ho!").
Viconia was my favorite female NPC--didn't get on so well with my paladin, though!
Funny story on the romances issue: it happened to me a couple times that I had just killed a Big Bad (like some monster spider thing, or a dragon, or the umber hulks in that one castle) and even as it was dying, my PC's love-connection of the moment would interrupt the game to demand affection.
(The Just-Beat-a-Boss Booty Call [JBBBC], I guess.)

Oh yes, the timing of the romance dialogs can be odd at times. |

Without a second thought, Viconia. My first virtual crush ... such memories.
Now THAT was a drow. Picking her back up in BG2 was better then meeting Drizzt in the game IMO. |

Thanks to a misreading of the text, my PC totally made the, er, *wrong decision* with regard to Aerie's big offer, and she broke up with him the next day.
I had Viconia though, so loss wasn't too great.
And Misery--welcome to the boards! And if I may say so, your sig is quite excellent.
So . . . do you like them 'cuz they're tasty?

I never tried the plot with Aerie though my younger brother much preferred her. He liked the good girls, I liked the bad ones I guess is how it worked out.
Thanks for the welcome, by the way. Its rather nice to finally post instead of just read everyone elses. The sig is something I've had going on for awhile now. Once again, the little brother played the hero type and me, not so much. However, I like cats and kittens and my endearment goes so far that all my characters do as well.

Are you sure that's such a good idea? Giant Space Hamsters are much larger than cats...
Besides, my wife loves cats and has three of them -- and, rather inexplicably, she and her mom call them "pedus" (PEE-DOO). I've still not figured that one out...
And I will admit to a bit of evil with our cats. Sometimes I go out of my way to wake them up while they're sleeping. This is because they sometimes do the same to me and my wife!
Edit: adding pics of the cats, for the hell of it.

Not to mention if wooly becomes a miniature giant space hamster, then it shouldn't be much of an issue.

Three reasons:
Dogs are more fun to play with.
Dogs are easier to interact with.
Dogs are capable of learning what not to do. |

Dogs are stupid because:
Dogs will love you even if you beat them
Dogs will eat anything when hungry, even their s**t
Dogs smell bad.. ok that doesn't make them stupid
