Oh SURE it wasn't.
(The power of RED WIZARD compels you!)
Ironically, I wasn't the biggest Edwin fan--not that I didn't like him, I was just nonplussed.
Probably actually would have liked him more (from an RP perspective) if he was another romance choices aside from Amonen(sp!)--would have worked out for my first BGII character (a female CN elf rogue, ahem!).
Here's a story about my second and longer-running BGII character, who was a paladin . . . and though all three of the potential love interests were in my party, I decided it worked fine, because he was a SUNITE paladin.
First off, he (as a LG character) was naturally drawn to Aerie, though as noted in a previous post, he made a slight mistake with her romantic path (whoops!). The second part of this story is that soon after she sort of "broke-up" with my PC, Aerie got into a fight with Viconia, who totally wiped the floor with her.
(Neat how interparty conflicts can come to blows at times, and the bad guys almost always win! )
You know, I never actually met Drizzt in either BGI or BGII. Guess I just never got around to it--the games were just so vast in scope that without a strategy guide, you could just wander aimlessly forever, cleaning out goblins/orcs/gibberlings. What's Drizzt like in the game?
Cheers
And a brief PS:
quote: Dogs are more fun to play with.
Well, if you like pain . . . (cat: [claw-claw-bite] you: ow!)
quote: Dogs are easier to interact with.
Well, it depends on your priorities . . . (cat: ok, love me, love me, i hate you, hiss [slash] you: ow!)
quote: Dogs are capable of learning what not to do.
Oh, cats KNOW what you don't want them to do . . . they just don't care (cat: he doesn't like it when I lie down on his face while he sleeps? meh! [plop] you: murfl!) |

Basically a super hero who deals lots of those hits where you blow up in many pieces and can't be ressurected (which is great when he teams up briefly with you in both games but can be frustrating if you're out to kill him ) |

He's mad at you if you named you character Drizzt or if you have some of his gear (taken via cheat or by importing your BG1 file after having killed and looted him). Beside that, he's with Bruenor, Cattie-Brie and Regis and they are looking for Aegis fang, which they lost somehow. He will team up with you (not in the party) in your attempt to kill Bodhi. Nice cameo, better than Jarlaxle's in the drow city. Artemis Entreri was also supposed be allied with Bodhi if you accepted Drizzt help, but he was removed before the release for some reason. He can be summoned (and killed of course) with another cheat. |

Wooly: Those cat pictures are so cuuuuuuuute!
Erik: I'm a bit surprised you didn't meet Drizzt in BG2, because the game forces you to meet him (in Chapter 6, when you are heading back to fight Bodhi). You can be friendly with him and accept his help, decline his help (I think), attack him and take his stuff, and so forth. |

-Cats rule, Dogs drool!
- JK I like doggies too! Cats are just so darn curious, while a dog wants you to just "rub my belly".

Kali drools if you scratch her just right, and she's the only one of our three cats that willingly lets you scratch her belly. Oreo scratches anyone trying to scratch his belly, and Umi bites your hand and twists away. |

Hmm. I just didn't get as far as chapter 6, now that I think of it. Drowning in side-quests!
(And in the BG games, that's not such a bad way to go.)

Ah, I see. I highly recommend going back and finishing the game, and playing the expansion/finale, Throne of Bhaal, if you ever have the time and the inclination. |

Sorry Erik. I myself got tempted to go through it another time over the summer (t'was my 4th or 5th time through the whole game). I think the game is/will be a timeless classic. |

Oh definitely!
I enjoyed it immensely the first two times I played it--I just couldn't manage more than 10 hours or so of free time. Probably won't be any different this time around, but hey.
Anyone care to hazard a guess as to the name of my PC?
Cheers |

Hmmm, well that depends on the Race/Class/Sex of your character |

I'm going to guess that it's either Jhusdhui the Cleric or Enhifhupwq the Thief.
Five points to anyone who knows where those names came from! |

I'd have to agree on Minsc & Boo...
"Minsc will lead with blade and boot! Boo will take care of the details." "The bigger they are, the harder I hit!" "Jump on my sword while you can evil, I won't be as gentle!" "Ooo, squirrels, Boo! I know I saw them! Quick, throw nuts!" "Fear not! I will inspire you all by charging blindly on!" "Go for the eyes Boo, GO FOR THE EYES!! RrraaaAAGHGHH!!!" "Boo must have his exercise, let's he bite us all in hard to reach places"
He's my favorite DnD game character. Well...with the exception of Morte ofcourse from the Planescape: Torment game . |

Dagnirion is correct. Though, this particular word has become so common here in Australia as to enter into the "public slang" -- to the point where it has lost much of its derogatory meaning.

I've been known to use the word s-w-a-n-k-y, from time to time, and the boards auto-correct it.
And nevermind about the character. It's not as obvious as I originally thought.
