I know some folks have been hesitant to download the individual articles because they don't want to sign up for the currently-free memberships at DDI for one reason or another. Well, it looks to me like you can download the completed issues without logging in, at least for now.

Just go to this archive page, click through to the individual issue, and then choose the "download complete issue" option. It looks like the default is to load the resulting .pdf into a browser window, so if it makes a difference to you, you might want to option-click (or right click, if you're a Windows users) the link and choose to save/download that way.

Cheers,

Christopher

My Realms novel, Sandstorm, is now available for ordering.

I really can't understand why someone would be interested in the articles and wouldn't want to sign up .

Well, be that as it may,* for now they don't have to worry about it either way.

*btaim? Has that ever been an "afaik-style" acronym? Maybe I should promote its use--I once tried to spread ysydm! ("you shut your dirty mouth!") on the sff-net boards, but alas, it never took off. Another shot at glory, missed!

I am still annoyed that they have not given us compiled issues of Dragon #361-363 and Dungeon #151-154. So I sent them a customer service email asking when we would get them.

From my understanding also, even when it becomes a pay-service, the rates of subscription are going to be a lot less previously anticipated--something around $5 a month?

Of course if you don't like it, by all means, don't do it--it just makes it easier for the people who *are* interested.

Cheers

Well, if they lower the price, it's certainly harder for me to say no. Five dollars a month is pretty reasonable, and I have enjoyed some of the articles so far.

I agree with Rinonalyrna here. That seems like a decent price (even better if its in Canadian funds lol)..and the articles so far are great. I wouldn't want to pass up extra FR Lore because it takes A LOT to satiate my hunger (how much exactly....oh I'd have to say ALL OF IT!!! )
