"Luruar is a land of friendship and safety, a defensive league of strong, independent cities. It offers a new start for people with ruined lives, welcoming those of all races and backgrounds, as long as their intentions are noble."

My Realms novel, Sandstorm, is now available for ordering.

The link for the FRPG just takes me to the Great Dale exerpt. :-/

That's weird. It goes to Luruar when I click on it--but that might have something to do with the fact that I posted it. I've reached the limits of my knowledge of html when I tell you that I've reached the limits of my knowledge of html.

Anybody else got any insight?

Works fine when I try it.

For the sake of keeping our scrolls neat like Alaundo keeps them, there was a scroll started for this subject Aug 7th here- http://forum.candlekeep.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=11332

Hmm. This is the second time this has come up (the other was with the recent Great Dale excerpts). The first thread was for the Campaign Guide excerpt--this is for the Player's Guide excerpt. My own "more cubbyholes!" proclivities might be at play here, but I see it as two different things. I'd ask the mods to combine 'em, but that other thread seems a little, erm, crowded.

I think RF meant the link on the Wizards page ... which takes me to the Great Dale too.

As usual the descriptions are a bit on the short side, even though they should be longer for the new folks who have zero knowledge of FR. Things like the Moonbridge in Silverymoon should be mentioned at least in this "travel guide". I also think that mentioning Alustriel requires an explanation for someone who is new and after she has probably been dead for some time mentioning her isnt that necessary anymore IMO.

I stopped reading the excerpts a few weeks back because I got tired of the nauseated feeling I got when I read each one.

FRCG and FRPG are easy to confuse when reading fast! I won't complain though, as more info is always welcome!

Yes, that is what I meant. Let me try again...

EDIT: Yes, the link is still wonky, for me anyway.

After reading the FRCG and FRPG excerpts for this place, I feel that this is probably one of the only places that is quite untouched by the 100 years leap. A forest gets bigger, an orc kingdom, dwarves no longer in the confederation and a dying leader. Yup. Same good old dangerous North to me.
