After reading the "Return of the Archwizards Trilogy" I've started Shadowbred, The Twilight War Book I.
I found contradictions regarding the Princes of Shade: Rivalen, Escalorn e Melagaunt died in the last two books of RoAT. In Lord of Darkness Escalorn is not mentioned between the 12 Princes, but Melegaunt e Rivalen are. How is it possibile that in Shadowbred Rivalen is still alive? Was he resurrected? And what about his brother?

Rivalen Tanthul appeared in another novel that preceded Paul S. Kemp's Twilight War. He was either resurrected at some point, or perhaps his "death" in RotAW was simply the death of a shadow simulacrum.
Escanor was not brought back to life, however Melegaunt is brought back into existence sometime before 1479 DR. |
