Anyone have any information on the Twisted Rune Lords? How many members do they have? How powerful are they? What are their motives? Are they chronicled in any Forgotten Realms Novels?

There are a few small details about them in a few novels, hopefully a scribe with a better memory can help you as I cannot recall at the moment. I will post them if I can get my brain working that hard later!

I am thinking that one of them is a baddie in Blackstaff by Steven Schend, but I can't recall his name.

Priamon "Frostrune" Rakesk.

The Twisted Rune is discussed in the Stardock module, which is a free download on the Wizards downloads page. They're also in 3E's Lords of Darkness.

See also Lands of Intrigue and the Castle Spulzeer module for more info one the Twisted Rune [both are available as free PDF downloads at the site Wooly linked to above]. Also, Empires of the Shining Sea. Each source holds a fair bit about the organisation [LoI and EotSS] and individual Runemasters [the two modules], as well.

There's also Jess Lebow's Master of Chains novel -- part of THE FIGHTERS series. It features Shyressa, Runemistress of the Twisted Rune as one of the antagonists.

There's also a few choice Twisted Rune tidbits included within the story itself.

And I forgot... Shyressa's also detailed in Drizzt Do'Urden's Guide to the Underdark. You'll find Sapphiraktar the Blue detailed in Sea of Fallen Stars and the aforementioned "Underdark" source. Vaxall of the Dying Gaze is covered in Cloak & Dagger and DUNGEON #69 and, again, Drizt Do'Urden's Guide to the Underdark.

Sage, I think you just revealed how good you truly are in your Realms knowledge. I didn't even know about there being a reference in Drizzt's guide. Then again I never got my hands on that book. I always feel like I got screwed over on the 2nd edition products because as a teen I had the money but the internet didn't have a proper running amazon yet. It was quite a kerfuffle back then. I shall venture to amazon and check if they have any Drizzt Guide... copies available for sale. Sage, you are a most learned man in the realms!
