Spells stilled, all Scribes.
What kind of new smilies would you like to see. Post you ideas here.

I would like to sea a knife and fork smile. (see Are Dragons Edible?)
Elf smile
Dwarf smile
Orc smile with 1 canine protruding
Dragon smile
Smile blasted with backlashed magic.
Smile holding a sword or bow.

Wooly and I [mostly Wooly] have both been pestering Big Al for some new smilies. As I recall... we can all probably expect some new emoticons when Candlekeep 2 is finally established.

Don't be too hasty. I hear WOTC has purchased the Candlekeep and that there is a LSE (Library Shattering Event) in the works. Smilies will be simplified to happy and sad only, and the Forums will be simplified to two headings ("Realms RPG" and "Realms novels"). This is for benefit of new users who find complexity intimidating

You might want to add sarcasm tags to that! You could scare some people.

Thanks, Hawkins!

Afet, some of us scribes (read: monknwildcat) are horribly paranoid of corporations, and/or not too swift on the uptake. I thought you were serious, although it's obvious you were kidding--and an well-thought out jest at that.

I don't use most emoticons, although that doesn't mean they're unneeded--or that we couldn't use more. Options are good.

Candlekeep 2 isn't ready yet. You'll likely have plenty of warning once the process to upgrade the Forum software is complete and the Admin/Mods have had a chance to play around with the new software to test for any loose gremlins and such.

Sage, I've got a couple of smilie suggestions to offer . . . if you're interested?

Aye, i'll certainly be adding more slimies to the Candlekeep v2.0 forums.

As for when this upgrade will be... I honestly can't tell. With all the best intentions, things always get in the way

"slimies" ?

I agree if that was not a typo, no one needs images to convey emotions if they can use words.

"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards."
"Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding.
"After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first."

Yes, slimies. Some of the more popular slimies include: "salacious grin", "swaggering lear" and "rapacious drool"

Ever since 4E came out, I've been wanting a "$" smilie.

Seriously: I like all of Althen's *original* ideas. I have a couple of great animated ones (source unknown, except that a friend used them on his FPS-game-related message board (now defunct) a while back, and left the code with me when he ran out of time to maintain the site), one of which is a head bashing against a brick wall. That one would have saved me so many words over the last three months...

Playing in the Realms since the Old Grey Box (1987)... and *still* having fun with material published before 2008, despite the NDA'd lore.

If it's comparable in power with non-magical abilities, it's not magic.
