Anyone have any new or previous or even Old information on this Powerful Archmage? I've read the War of the Spider Queen series and other various books with little information about him. But for Gromph there must be more to his story, or his future exploits? What is he really capable of? and has he had any dealings with other Archmages of the surface? Do they Know of him? Is he on their list for "Archmages to be wary of" Any info would be very much appreciated!

Well, in Realms.New.Coke, he probably went insane and was transformed into a mutant and/or died a hundred years ago. Poop, indeed!

If you want to go in that vein, it wouldn't be beyond unthinkable that Gromph be turned into a "Dark Elf", leave Menzoberranzan, and join the collages that left Sshamath. He is a Diviner, after all, and the College of Divination did leave... |

**Possible Spoiler Warning - Lady Penitent ***
Now I'm gonna have to start debating with myself on whether or not Gromph should be Drow or Dark Elf. Arguments can be made either way. Maybe some kind of Hybrid (hey, maybe that's what Drizzt is going to be also). |

Drow - Dark Elf? Is there yet another strange change of rules in 4th Ed. that I have missed? |

Perhaps so. Beware Lady Penitent spoilers, though:

Ah darn, sorry Ergdusch. I will edit my post with "possible spoiler warning".
Ah, I see were this might lead. I will not delve into the matter any further as I intent to read that particular series yet. |

Is Lady Penitent about that drow who was transformed by Lolth to be her Vengeance taker? |

-As per The Orc King prologue/epilogue, which takes place in 1479 DR, after the transformation happens, he isn't a "Dark Elf". He's a Drow. Thus, he didn't transform. Case closed, I don't want to hear about retcons. |

-Read the Lady Penitent trilogy. That said, it WILL make you mad, as a lot of things change, and many of those changes are impossible to take place, unless you throw previous precedent and continuity out the window. |
