The title says it all.
What is the status of Kossuth in 4E and if know, could you point me to your source?

Since the new, 4th ed FRCS isn't released yet, we cannot know the status of Kossuth in 4E. |

basically, who knows. You could try asking Rich Baker on his thread |
When hinges creak in doorless chambers and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls, whenever candlelights flicker where the air is deathly still, that is the time when ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight. |

No-one needs to know! Honestly ... deities are just that, deities! You may want to molest an avatar in a fun game session, but deity stats are not needed. They should stay untouchable by anything bar other deities, IMHO. |

There is a difference between the 'stats' of a god - btw I agree with what you said above entirely - and the 'STATUS' of a god (greater, intermediate or lesser god, dead or alive, plot schemes and residing home plane, ect.)
With all due respect, with the shifting in the divine cosmology of the Realms the 4th Ed. brings about the question is absolutely valid, IMHO.

Uhm ... well .. yes. I doubt that they'll chop the elemental deities and even if they do for the sake of 4E, I will simply ignore it. Then again, as it looks, my Realms' in-game world will stop short of 1380 D.R. So much white spots left to be discovered in the 20,000odd year history pre Spellplague. |

I can see him surviving, maybe even being the only elemental god to survive, transcending into something more than just the influence over flames. Time will tell. |

are we sure they are keeping all the elemental deities, If they want to chop down the numbers, that might a decent place to start |

The elemental deities might get turned into primordials, as per the 4E cosmology.
But really, as was stated, we have no way of giving an answer to this question at this time. |
"Instead of asking why we sleep, it might make sense to ask why we wake. Perchance we live to dream. From that perspective, the sea of troubles we navigate in the workaday world might be the price we pay for admission to another night in the world of dreams." --Richard Greene (letter to Time) |

Indeed. I expect elemental deities to be nerfed into exarchs, myself. |

Or, they might make the other elemental deities (I can't remember their names off the top of my head) into exarchs under Kossuth. |
