Greetings all,
I was just wondering what everyone's first FR Novel was that they read, and what type of impact it made upon them?
In my case, the first was "The Temptation of Elminster" - although I knew a little about him through the Baldur's Gate games, I'd never read any FR Novels and was very interested to get into reading them. Despite missing out on some of the background, I very much enjoyed it, and was able to visualise all the scenes perfectly. I followed this up by reading the first two books (Making of a Mage and Myth Drannor), and absolutely loved them. Reading the books also came at a time in my life when I was trying to make some big decisions and discover my purpose, and the Elminster books struck a certain tone with me as he too had to make tough choices and went through "interesting" times to say the least!

It is knowledge that influences and equalizes the social condition of man; that gives to all, however different their political position, passions which are in common, and enjoyments which are universal. (Benjamin Disraeli)
