Poll Question:
What do you think the name of the PW should be considering it is set on the Sword Coast and the starting city is Baldur's Gate?
Mod Edit: Moved to a more appropriate shelf.

Well, first get rid of all the apostrophes.
I wouldn't recommend using "Tales of the Sword Coast", because that was the name of the BG1 expansion. Using that name will probably confuse people, and you can expect to be asked if you are remaking that game or something.
Go for something more distinctive. |

I agree, that's what I picked. Other game titles have already played on the "Neverwinter Nights" title (such as Cormyrean Nights), so Sword Coast Nights is rather old hat by now. "Baldur's Gate" is already the name of a game, as is "Tales of the Sword Coast". I like "Mysteries of Candlekeep", but the topic post implied to me that the game is more about Baldur's Gate than Candlekeep--I don't know how important CK is that it would be appropriate as a title.
"Legends of the Sword Coast", while not unique or (to be honest) particularly distinctive, leaves the impression right up front that players in the game will be doing things that are important (and hopefully fun!), so much so that their actions will be the stuff of legend. And I think that's a very desirable impression to leave. |
