Hi everyone, long time lurker, first time poster

Anyways, I'm starting a campaign on the Western edge of the Anarauch. I'm basically totally rewriting Parnast and the Weathercote woods to serve my campaign.

My problem, though, is that I haven't paid a lot of attention lately to realms shaking events, so I was wondering if any of you fine people could point me in the direction of novels that talk about what's gone on in the Anarauch and the Eastern area of the North lately. I know there's all kinds of stuff going on with the Shades particularly, but if you could give me some homework I'd be very appreciative.

Thanks!

Well met ulmo11

will your capaign start at the present day realms (1375)DR?
some information can be found within:

"Return of the Archwizards" trilogy written by Troy Denning (should be around 1372DR.)

"Forsaken House" first book of the "Last Mythal" trilogy written by Richard Baker (maybe 1374DR)

good luck

Thank you very much Dewaint!

Looks like it's off to Border's for me!

And to answer your question, yes, I'm thinking I'll set it around 1375. Although as far as I'm concerned this Mystra v. Shar/Cyric thing isn't happening until we I more info about what exactly is going on.

Was there really that much about the western portion of the Anauroch in that book, though? Plenty of info about the High Forest, but that's not the same.

"Instead of asking why we sleep, it might make sense to ask why we wake. Perchance we live to dream. From that perspective, the sea of troubles we navigate in the workaday world might be the price we pay for admission to another night in the world of dreams."

A little older, but Elminster's Ecologies has some great info pertaining to Anauroch
