I'm attempting to construct an accurate chart of the solar system for Realmspace. Using the information provided in the Realmspace Spelljammer accessory I've worked the formulas needed to find the positions of the planets in relation to each other. The only problem is, I need a baseline. I'm wondering if anyone knows when the last time the planets were aligned? I've looked through every resource I have, but I haven't come up with anything. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know of any references to planetary alignments... Particularly since most sages of the Realms won't even know about other planets.

I think this was deliberately left open so that DM's could simply do as they wished. I see no problem with arbitrarily picking the position of each planet in its particular orbit.
