In preparation for an upcoming campaign, I'm gathering lore on Undermountain. I have all the major sources(the two Ruins box sets, Skullport, the 3 Dungeon Crawl modules, the web articles here and on wizards.com, and the Nobles series novel), but for some reason I think there are some smaller sources I'm missing---didn't Steven write a few Dragon articles on the Yawning Portal? I'd check, but I can't remember the issue numbers.

Afraid not, but I do believe it's in galleys and being proofed by mine editors.... Won't be out any earlier than July, alas.....

Steven... you really have to stop sharing so much about Blackstaff .

You're making my anticipation for it grow with every single scroll you've shared novel tidbits in today... .

You're not the only one!

I can barely recall this article, but very little in it ties it to timeframes. Even so, I'd place this time-wise equal to the 2E COS box (1367ish) simply because a lot of it was generated for that box but never appeared due to space considerations and time....

And I even managed to use some of the locations in BLACKSTAFF, once Eric reminded me of this article...

Thanks, Steven.

Okay, thanks.

And in my effort to sort out Undermountain, here's the timeline of Undermountain-related products/snapshots I came up with:

Escape From Undermountain: 1325 DR
FR1 Waterdeep And The North: Mirtul, 1357 DR
Faiths and Avatars(Ibrandul's corpse reference): 1358 DR
Ruins of Undermountain I: 1360 DR
"If You Need Help --- Ask The Drow!" [Dragon #176]: 1360/1361 DR [About 6 months past Ruins I]
Ruins of Undermountain II: 1367/1368 DR
City of Splendors [boxed set]: 1367/1368 DR
"I Sing A Song By The Deep-Water Bay" [Dragon #211]: 1367/1368 DR
The Lost Level: 1368 DR
"The Reports From Undermountain" [Dragon #227]: Eleint, 1368 DR
Maddgoth's Castle: post-20 Eleint, 1368 DR
Iakhovas' Attack on Waterdeep: Ches 30, 1369 DR
The Great Modron March: ??? [pre-Highharvestide, 1369 DR]
Stardock: Highharvestide, 1369 DR
Skullport: Post-Highharvestide, 1369 DR
Elminster In Hell: 1372 DR
Dawn of Night[Erevis Cale Trilogy, Book II]: ??? [1374 DR?]
City of Splendors: Waterdeep : Midsummer, 1374 DR
Return to Undermountain[web articles]: Post-Highharvestide, 1369 DR [Midsummer, 1374 DR?]

Any obvious errors/ideas as to the looser dates?

*shrugs* I've read worse FR-novels. I rather liked the talking skull as a matter of fact. I've always felt Hamlet could've used one

I don't actually remember it being that bad; should I burn my copy?
