While I was doing some research on Tyranthraxus I found a very interesting contradiction.

quote:
Cloak & Dagger, pg 152 states:
Just beyond the last rise west of the city lies a ring of seven hillocks. Atop each hill is a ring of standing stones, a shrine to one of the Seven Lost Gods....
...
...One such sites is the Hill of Fangs, established by the Cult of Moander. The Abomonation's hilltop shrine consists of a ring of eight great red-stone plinths shaped like fangs curving inwards. The other shrines are dedicated to Garagos, Ghaunadaur, Jergal, Savras, Silvanus, and one deity whose name has been forgotten.

The only source I have that confirms this is the Azure Bonds novel. But I can't say the gods are "lost" (Silvanus is greater god).

quote:
Cloak & Dagger web enhancement http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20010327d, pg 6 says the following:
Over time, the seven hillocks become known as the Shrines of the Seven Lost Gods, even though several of those faiths are still venerated in Westgate. (Curiously, the term ‘Seven Lost Gods’ has its roots in antiquity. It more properly refers to seven demipowers that bowed down before Bane long ago: Maram of the Great Spear, Haask the Voice of Hargut, Tyranthraxus the Flamed One, Borem of the Lake of Boiling Mud, Camnod the Unseen, and two whose names have been forgotten.)

Does someone know more about these Seven Lost Gods?

And wich of the two sources is correct?

IIRC, the Seven Lost Gods of Westgate have nothing to do with the set of which Tyranthraxus is a part.

See the Realmslore article on www.wizards.com entitled "Ironfang Keep" (by Brian R. James, iirc) for more on Haask and the Dark Three (Bane, Bhaal, and Myrkul); slaying two or more of the Seven (Haask and Borem for sure, possibly all seven) was part of the Dark Three's quest for divinity, which took them north of the Moonsea.

You may want to search Candlekeep for "Seven Lost Gods" and the named gods individually; I posted scroll about Borem a couple of years ago, and I suspect that there are threads for other individuals among them.

Note that there are actually 2 sets of "Seven Lost Gods." The OLDER set includes Borem, Tyranthraxus, etc. Only five of that set are known. And there are only six known from the set you initially referenced.

Information on Haask, the Voice of Hargut can be found here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/drrl/20071107a
