I was wondering if anyone could link or tell me the main differences between the two Sandril's Saga versions.

I got the newer one, should I get the old one as well? Is there that much difference?

The main difference is that the malaugrym subplot that was excised from the original "Spellfire" has been put back into the second version (with some material from the first version taken out to accomodate it).

I am asking this with some knowledge of changes, but not sure what. I've seen it discussed here at candlekeep but I am having some problems finding the reply. I remember someone mentioning that certain villians were cut out?

It's changed somewhat, but for every word Ed included in the "new" version of Spellfire, a word from the "older" published version had to be removed. So, as it is, it's a little closer to the original, but not exactly.

Both Ed and THO have discussed this in their replies here at Candlekeep.
