Posted - 15 Jun 2006 : 01:47:33 I'm curious as to what characters people would like to see revisited. I don't mean the big names like Elminster, the Seven Sisters, Drizzt, Liriel, etc. None of the characters that have appeared in many books, but the ones that have featured in perhaps a single novel, or some short stories, or perhaps not at all as yet. For my part. I'd love to see new books/short stories featuring:
Jack Ravenwild Kehrsyn Artus Cimber Jander Sunstar
and
Pharaun Mizzrym (okay so he was in 6 books, but he died like a punk and deserved better) |

That, I wouldn't mind.
Cadderly is what got me onto RAS's writing to begin with -- my introduction to RAS was through the Cleric Quintet. So I definitely wouldn't mind seeing another book (or trilogy) on Cadderly and the Soaring Spirit.

Posted - 20 Aug 2006 : 02:14:18 Steven, you darling! I have a read-twice-through-now copy of BLACKSTAFF, and I *love* it. It sits on the shelf with ELFSHADOW and CITY OF SPLENDORS and ELMINSTER'S DAUGHTER in my "feels like the True Realms" section. I'd love a signed copy, but surely (she purred) I can give you something in return for it? Ahem. Ed hath apprised me of your bliss, so let me elucidate: a book, perhaps? Ed |

I do like this bit about him, from the CoS boxed set: quote: wizard and current record holder for most resurrections of any citizen of Waterdeep
As well as Waterdeep and the North. Volo's Guide to Waterdeep. And Blackstaff. :)
He also has a *very* brief mention in The North boxed set.

No, Nain has appeared little in published Realms fiction. He is a PC, once portrayed often by Ken Woods, who these days is too real-life busy running a highly-regarded microbrewery known as Black Oak, in Oakville, Ontario, to be part of Ed's increasingly-rare Realmsplay sessions. love, THO
Milady Hooded, if ye don't yet have a copy of Blackstaff, I'd be happy to include another signed copy in a box heading to Ed soon....

Posted - 19 Aug 2006 : 15:48:40 Hello folks, I'm new. Very glad to have found this forum. Not too many Realms Fans in my neck of the woods. I don't get to discuss this stuff with anyone that understands.
Anyhoo... Something about the Character Nain from the blackstaff novel intrigued me. I'd like to know more about his service to Mystra.
I don't think I missed him from any of the other books...did I ?

Posted - 18 Aug 2006 : 11:52:39 Dwalimor Omen & the crew of "The Realmsmaster" appeared in the "Forgotten Realms" comic (from DC?. I agree that a novel featuring them would be great! Also, I know he's dead - but I'd love to read a novel about "Shield of Justice" from War of Tethyr, detailing his history. |

Posted - 18 Aug 2006 : 11:34:09 I'd like to see more of Arya from Ghostwalker, Ususi Manallan (One of my favourite chars), Mystra/Midnight (Portrayed well, of course), and Elaith Craulnober. A few months ago, there'd be Shoudra Stargleam, and Faeryl Zauvirr also appearing on this list, but then I read Two Swords and Insurrection. I actually hurled Insurrection across the room, where it hit the wall and damaged the spine. I had to buy a new copy... |

Just came to mind,
It is long overdue to resolve Lhaeo's situation.
A book resolving his character could be great.
What do you mean? If you are talking about the real Lhaeo, he's living pretty happily as King of Tethyr (see the Lands of Intrigue supplement). His story *has* been resolved.
Darn, how and when did I miss that?
I don't think they ever bothered to explain how it happened (If I'm wrong, someone please enlighten me).
Zaranda Starr's tale was in the War in Tethyr book. Though we don't get a lot of coverage on the Reclamation itself, I believe it was described in the Lands of Intrigue boxed set, available for free from the Wizards downloads page.
Thanks I did read War in Tethyr right when it came out, cant remember to much about it.
I will chalk this up to my realms experience being striclly from novels. |

Alias and Dragonbait! I will second Kajehase, I would love to see more of the characters from the old comic books! Kyriani. Also how about a novel with the centaur and dwarf? I know they are in Tethyr now, but how about sending them on a mission for Queen Zaranda? The centaur's name was Timmoth Bright-eyes, but what was the dwarf's name? Also, how about a story featuring Dwalimor Omen and crew? I really liked the characters from that comic. (What was the title of that?) The paldin and the Kensai(samurai?), the halfling was a good character as well... IMO.
Timoth Eyesbright and Onyx the Invincible. |
