Posted - 01 Feb 2009 : 06:26:00 Considering that The Rite was written before Road of the Patriarchs it would be kind of hard to mention characters that weren't introduced until later on (real time). In fact, I'd venture to say it might be nice to have seen some references to things that happened in The Rite, or at least to characters, in Road of the Patriarchs, but I'm far beyond caring about consistent continuity at this point. |

Posted - 30 Jan 2009 : 15:16:52 I'd say after. If you go by the Drizzt journal entries in RotP, it takes place during The Hunter's Blades trilogy which is 1371-1372 DR. If you go with the more realistic timeline that PotWK and RotP took place directly after Servant of the Shard then RotP took place around 1368-1369 DR. Either way, that places The Rite after RotP.
Haven't read The Rite yet by the way, but it's on my book shelf and on my to do list. |
