Hello, fellow realms fans. Finally, someone to talk to about my obsession with Faerun. I was just wondering, too, if you guys ever discuss core rules, and if so, whereabouts? Under core products, maybe? Anyway, this is the first time I've ever posted on a forum, and I only recently got a computer, so please forgive me if I seem somewhat illiterate in such things.

I only recently found my here also. Fear not. No one seems to mind a few gaffs here and there! I have discovered that others are very helpful (Read that THANK YOU everyone!) You sure will find a font of wisdom here. Also: If you read any of the FR novels be sure to stop by the threads. They're cool. The Hammer of Moradin just started a new thread there "Author's Forum." Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

Oh ye will find many scribes willing to talk to ye about Faerun, in fact, ye won't be able to shut some of them up 
I see Kentinal has directed ye to a good few chambers herein, i'm sure ye will find many tomes and scrolls of lore to help in thy quest for knowledge

As to discussing Core rules, I would point you to:
General Forgotten Realms Chat, as to how core rules effect FR.
Running the Realms, for much the same reason.
D&D Core Products
beyond that as you explore this site odds are good you will find at least some aspects of core rules discussed in other sections.
