Posted - 20 Sep 2004 : 09:35:13 Greetings all .
I'm sure you're all missing me terribly (yeah right... I hear the cricket noises and low coughs in the crowd from the silence that follows my utterance ), so I thought I'd just check-in with a quick update.
I'm currently typing this entry on a laptop in a hotel in south-central London (yes Rad... you can shake and squirm now ). As most now know, both the Lady K. and myself have had to deal with matters that have left us with little time to visit here at Candlekeep (it's also [partly] why we're in London). That's only part of the reason why I've been so inactive here over the last few weeks. The other half of the reason for my absence, is because I've been busy practicing my various piano recitals for a "minor" tour the classical trio I'm a part of will be doing in October around southern England and Wales.
I intend to provide details about some of the venues we'll be playing at, so those scribes here at Candlekeep who live in areas close to where we'll be playing at (and like classical/baroque music) can come down and see us (or me... ) and enjoy some good music. And, we can also have a chat about Realmslore if you like .
My tour schedule for the next month and a half will probably leave me with little time to post, but I'll try and stop by here more often than I have in the last month.
I was intending to have the PbeM up and running before I headed overseas, but unfortunately that did not happen. I've got the relevant notebooks here with me though, so I might be able to get the introduction to the adventure emailed out and sent to all involved players. I'll also try and update Fletch's "Sage's PbeM" scroll before I get to that though, and answer any questions that have been left hanging since my abrupt departure at the end of August.
So, that's about everything for the time being. I'll talk to you all again in a few days after my first few sessions are over with. Wish me the luck of the Lady Tymora... I have a feeling I'm going to need it .

My best wishes to thee both. Now, lets see..... if its a boy, how about....say....."Alaundo"?

I hear that if you name the child Elminster it comes with a Pointy hat

Thank you all very much for your kind words. It really means a lot to both myself, and the Sage.
As it turns out, we are expecting... so the "subtle" () hints the Sage dropped several days ago have now been confirmed . We've both experienced about 10 different kinds of joy and excitement since learning the news... but sadly, there just isn't an emoticon available to satisfyingly illustrate the kind we are feeling at the moment...
Alaundo, can you do anything about this lacking?
So, we've decided to share the news with everyone we know (including all of our friends here at Candlekeep), including some poor strangers in the clinc that we were attending at the time
Anyway, I just thought I'd let you all know. We're not sure how many of you really actually care, but, all we can say is that, if you've experienced this feeling and this joy yourself... you'll likely understand why we had to tell "everyone"...
Hehe
I knew the both of you would finally "get it together" so to speak. This is fantastic news Congratulations
Hey, I know the both of you are still in Cardiff at the moment, and, if you're still intending on heading up north to Birmingham to pay me visit, I'll just let you know that I'm going to be busy with work for the first couple of days next week. So, email me before you visit. That way, I can be sure that I'll be home, and congratulate you both in person. We'll even go out to dinner or something to celebrate
Oh, and don't worry about booking a hotel. You can stay at my place since my sister is still in Germany. That's good in a way, as we can play a few campaigns... It's been too long since our last gaming session, and I am looking forward to it .
Stay in touch

I guess free will is the way to go here although strong encouragment from parents when it comes to choosing a gaming setting does nothing but help in my book. |

Oh Sirius, we've already started... We have put aside most of the 1st and 2nd edition FR material we don't use that much anymore, and purchased some of the DL "young reader" novels to introduce him/her to the world of Krynn . We thought it would be best to begin with the "basic" material, and then move onto the more recent source information .

Posted - 30 Sep 2004 : 21:31:46 Hey guys, congrats again. I can sort of imagine your emotions as I got married a couple of weeks ago to someone I konw I will spend the rest of my life with. As for caring or not I don't say what I don't mean. So joy and happiness to all 3 of you. Maybe it's the 4 of you, or 5...... |

It is a feeling like no other. Mines acting cute right now 'talking' on the remote control to his mommy. He's a ham. To think that what you are feeling right now will increase 100x when the baby is born, and then increase daily from there. Congratulations guys. |

Posted - 30 Sep 2004 : 15:46:11 Well met, Lady Kazandra
As thee has stopped by the library in person, I will extend and repeat my congratulations once again to thee personally
I wish thee all the best and certainly DO care.... regardless of the fact that I have nay offspring of my own, and am extremely happy for thee both.
I hope ye manage to return to the library soon to catch up on thy Realmslore.
Take care of thyself. |

Ah... that would really make our time here complete. Unfortunately, from what I've learned from the local hobby store, SS will be released here in Wales a fortnight after it's release in Australia. So, we want to get back to Perth as soon as possible...

All I would get from my parents is a rolling of their eyes and a concerned look. I wish they supported my habits. |
