Well met, blackadder444, and welcome ye to the many chambers of Candlekeep.

I'm glad you find these lower halls of lore, for there is much knowledge herein to feed your love of the Realms.

Enjoy your stay

*Gnaws on his upper lip
Thou shalt not escape a servant of the master of R'lyeh.
* Deimos casts a spell from the Book that he had stashed beneath his breastplate. A gate opens up and as he walks through the sound of waves can be heard and the smell of salt lays thick in the air*
The Sage Posted - 23 Jul 2004 : 08:56:57
::The Sage quickly casts a cantrip which creates an image of the Yellow Sign in the immediate vicinity of the Cardinal. The Sage simply smiles, and begins the incantation to open a portal. Looking around at the Cardinal, who now stands wide-eyed and bewildered, the Sage enters the purple haze of the portal, and disappears...

We curse thee with Urza's mania, and Mishra's blind ambition, Sage. We curse thee
The Sage Posted - 23 Jul 2004 : 08:45:04
And may the voice of the Eternal Speaker in Darkness haunt your dreams as well...
The Cardinal Posted - 23 Jul 2004 : 08:41:49
Aye, thou art indeed correct. At the time we were busy re-animating our own Guild's turkey feast. A guild under the rulership of that master of Mana, Lim-Dul. A carving knife under one wing, a fork under another, yes a terrifing sight.May the images of undead roast turkeys haunt thy dreams Sage

Obviously, you never attended the after party for my graduation from the Tower of Learning in Palanthus...

It was a wild night indeed...

I'll get you to pay for those, Deimos. But I can provide you with everything you need...

It's certainly nothing that I haven't faced before.

Afterall, how many can truly say that they have visited with the Shadow Fiend, and lived to share the tale...
The Cardinal Posted - 23 Jul 2004 : 08:09:13
Hey now... best beware Sage, lest we personally set thee up with an audience with Daruth Winterwood in castle Xaxox. We've been there once and we'll go there again. As our favorite saying goes:
"I will go insane and take you with me!"
The Sage Posted - 23 Jul 2004 : 07:40:36
Certainly for one of your means and ability, of course...
The Cardinal Posted - 23 Jul 2004 : 07:37:56
Here here here now. We were able to lick most of the drink before it soaked into the partchment.... and it gave the scrolls a nice smell...
Welcome to these halls of Learning BlackAdder444, we art sure that thou shalt be a worthy addition the Alaundo's army of Scribes. Besides... the liquor twas not that cheap to buy!
The Sage Posted - 23 Jul 2004 : 07:17:14
Then please allow me to be the first scribe to welcome you here, in the library of Candlekeep.

Please, enjoy your stay. And remember, no foods or beverages of any kind are permitted within these halls. I'm sure every scribe here remembers what happened when the Cardinal (in one of his usual drunken "excursions" ) spilled some rather cheap Waterdhavian liquor on the priceless Cycles of the Fifth Fane scrolls...

Quite disappointing indeed...
