Posted - 17 Jul 2007 : 05:19:13 Ah! Found it. Page 16 in Cloak and Dagger.
quote: A minor uprising among disgruntled elements of the Zhentilar is put down quickly and ruthlessly by a young, mysterious female officer named Scyllua.
Then, on page 18.
quote: Lord General Ulgrym, Commander of the Zhentilar, promotes the young warrior-officer Scyllua.. to be his aide-du-camp
While her last name isn't given, I find it unlikely that the Zhentilar had two officers by the name of Scyllua suddenly come to prominence at the same time!
It's also good to know I didn't go temporarily mad. |

Posted - 17 Jul 2007 : 04:58:56 The novel The Farthest Reach features Scyllua briefly beginning on page 121 (I think that's her first appearance in the book). It gives a good impression of her overall bearing and a glimpse into her personality. |

I may be wrong, but I think she was first introduced in Cloak and Dagger, which was the last 2nd Edition Sourcebook produced. That has a little on her rise.
Perhaps you were thinking of Teldorn Darkhope?
