does elminster or anyone know that Iolaum still lives or will he excist only in the F/R campain setting books.
i hope that he will make a appearance in the F/R books.
Hopefully written by R A SALAVATORE.

Which is why I didn't give an answer to this. I figured only Ed and maybe a hanful of others might be able to answer this.

I ran into a small group of "younger" Realms fan the other day at my local gaming store... and their topic of conversation was in fact... Ioulaum. The discussion went from his "coolness" factor to what type of Realms official NPCs they'd like to see Ioulaum do battle against.

I felt it was necessarily to "gently" remind them about what we've learned regarding Ioulaum in the past and what LEoF recently told us about him.

And that, is how it should remain.

Lost Empires of Faerun, I believe, has the current info about Iolaum. :)
