Basically, anything thats good at being concealed like a dagger or a short sword or hand crossbow is good and reliable in my eyes. I like mithral armor becuase most drow wear it and its good and reliable. Kind of like a Saturn car.

Staff of the Magi, hands down...the thing is insane, just holding it n ur invisible...it protects u from evil, charm, as well as basic protection, the fireball-lightning spell 3 times a day, spell trap 1nce a day, it strikes as a +5 weapon, and each hit dispels magic, like i said, "hands down"

the leafweave padded armor, for a mage, since it can give u some protection without having any inconvenient.

Probably a good choice for a mage,I may try a mage as a character since I never have.Do you think Elves and half-Elves make the best mages?

Simply type in the words you want to be translated in the box, then hit "drow", i think it is, and then it translates...

Thank you,but did you try the converter,I couldn't figure out what you were suposed to do to make it work.

I see you got a Drow translater working, which one did you use?

Haha, actually I'm such a slacker I decided to use a Drow proverb that the site provided on the left hand side instead of being original and creating my own.
But to answer your question I used the "house maerdyn" one

That would be quite interesting...
of course (if he survived the encounter) he'd most definitely walk away looking like this: ...
haha

This is my exact point...
You could probably have the AC of a monk and still get hit by this crudely fashioned weapon that is a tree.
Who would really stand and fight against someone powerful enough to wield a tree (this is a question definitely not aimed at the one with william commenting on his insurance, as he seems he would indeed!)

LOL...your not a, "Fire giant" are you?..I warn you, don't throw trees at Lolth slayer, if you value your ears, although I may be able to get them insured too.

I'd have to go with plate mail and a bastard sword, along with a nice sturdy shield.

Arivia Posted - 02 Nov 2003 : 04:52:43
Because it would be so ludicrous. Wouldn't a character picking up and throwing a small tree end over end to hit enemies be absurd?
Bookwyrm Posted - 02 Nov 2003 : 04:43:48
No one. I was just wondering why he wanted it.
Arivia Posted - 02 Nov 2003 : 03:44:42
I have no idea. Who told you that?
Bookwyrm Posted - 02 Nov 2003 : 03:38:34
I'm confused. How is this better than a javelin or spear?
Arivia Posted - 02 Nov 2003 : 03:09:34
The caber is essentially a very large, long wooden pole. In a Scottish game, you pick it up from below, and throw it across a grid. Whoever throws it the farthest wins.

Okay goblins have bigger brains than I do so you will have to explain the caber to me??

That is great Bookwyrm except in a knife or sword fight nobody walks away without getting hit,of course I am speaking real life and maybe you can avoid it in your game, they do in the movies.
Bookwyrm Posted - 01 Nov 2003 : 05:57:09
Currently, my personal favorite sword is the rapier, mostly because I'm getting into the mind of my newest character.

For him, no armor at all. It just gets in the way, and he -- having the same mentality used for the Duelist PrC -- is more of the mind that the best way to avoid getting hurt is to avoid getting hit. Instead, he's rather liking some spells he's found in the spellbook he, ah, aquired. Mage Armor, Cat's Grace (especially since that one raises his attack bonus), Magic Weapon . . . all niiice. When he can, he'll add Keen Edge and Greater Magic Weapon. He also likes his newfound ability to put touch spells into his blade.

Ah, that fighter there is wearing that shiny armor. Well, now -- what say I just slip my rapier in that crack there . . . .

Feel the sting of my blade, and the bite of my magic.

Who need weapons? I`ve got FIREBALLS!!! but if i did`nt i`d probably go for a dagger, enchanted with the greater magic weapon spell. Armor I dont wear.... its troubly some times, but i survive a mage armor and cats grace is often enough....

Exactly what's so great about a kukri? I don't see how it's an exotic weapong that needs extra training . . . .

Hmm me either.. It shouldnt be, nor should the hand crossbow, but w/e and I was just saying in general the Kukri is cool. My fav D&D weapon would most definatly be a Scimitar, favorite armor being mithral chain mail `
Trafaldi Posted - 30 Oct 2003 : 15:49:17
i usually go with a chain shirt a long sword and a whip. its quite enjoyable disarming somone and cuting there throat in the same turn.
Cult_Leader Posted - 30 Oct 2003 : 13:52:51
Crystal, Keen, gauntlets. I have talked about them before in another topic. Basically you work hard enough on them and enchant them to make them easy to move etc, and you have weapons that do crit 8. 1d6 dmg.

Amor I have to go with normal lether armor. Its flexable as hell. Can be enchanted if you need it so. Etc. Easy to sneak around in, what else could you ask for?
