I'm looking for creatures with natural arcane spellcasting ability. I'm already aware of dragons, araneas, couatls, nagas, rakshasas, and lillends, but does anyone know of any others? Both sorcerous and bardic are fine, but not spell-like abilities (it doesn't matter if it has them also, but not spell-like abilities alone) I know it's an odd request, but look at the source (master, that is)

Why is the casting ability of a sorcerer related to his/her charisma when they are already born with that ability?

Charisma is supposed to represent the strength of a character's personality. Bringing about sorcerer spells is just a matter of forcing the effect through sheer will. Whereas a Wizard's spells are brought about by knowledge of the Art.

I'm not entirely familiar with 3rd or highre edition, but isn't wisdom supposed to represent the strength of a persons personality, and charisma the personability of a person personality?

I've always considered Wisdom to be more an equivalent of common sense, and the ability to learn from one's actions.

Well, I took a peruse through the MM1 and this is what I came up with
less the ones you already listed

1) Drider - P78
2) Formian Queen - p 90-92
3) Hag's - p 115
4) Kolbold's occassionally (favored class sorcerer) P 123/124
5) Merfolk (favored class Bard) P 134
6) Mindflayers - P136 (this one it doesn't really mention them as being spellcasters in the MM1, but I was sure they were sorcerous, I could be wrong however)
7) Ogre Mage - P 144
8) Astrosphinx (clerical) P 170
9) Titan - P 176

as I said, these are all from Monster Manual I and I gave the page # references, hope this helps some.
