So now we have a map of Whisper's Crypt, a place mentioned oft in older Realmslore... But I find myself wondering: do we have any real information to accompany this map? Room descriptions, items (other than a couple of the seven rings of Mhzentul, anything like that?

Ed explained that his power came from his arsenal of magic items, not his personal prowess.

These are the first 2, yes. I'm pretty sure somewhere in Candlekeep Ed did a reply about these two, giving an idea of their power levels.

Supposedly there was a 4e adventure called "Beneath the Haunted Halls." I think it was part of organized play. Never seen it. Perhaps you are thinking of that?

This might be where I'm remembering the other one from - something I read in a couple of minutes and then mostly forgot :).

The second one was close to but not connected in any real way to the Haunted Halls. I also want to say that the second one was more of a maze-like structure, but have no recollection where that idea comes from.

This gets confusing because there were also at least two Whispers (my memory says 3). The original, the lowish level Zhent in the 1300s, and a newer one, I think in 4th edition but maybe some time in 3rd.

The original Whisper was a Zhent wizard/spy that was killed by the Knights of Myth Drannor, while the second Whisper was a female rogue that helped Drizzt and Bruenor find Mithral Hall and was later killed by Entreri.

This is some good stuff to start with. Any other known details?

Ed told us offline that it was the dwarven builders of the Haunted Halls.

Two of the seven Lost Rings of Mhzentul. (See VGtATM.)
Whisper's rod of transportation. (See FR4 - The Magister.)

8 and 19 are pit traps
9 is a ventilation shaft
1 is the original crypt and Whisper's home

The passageway to the northwest must lead to the level BELOW the level mapped in FRQ1.
