Certain Christmas lore includes a custom of gift giving. I believe derived from the three wise men bringing gifts to a child. Also the was a Nicolas in the German area that made a practice of giving gifts.
So indeed if at least a few Countries of the World gift giving is common, in some so commercial that some object to that custom. |
