Just because I watched 8-bit Christmas last night

Who got what? Anyone get a Nintendo?

I got a 5 pound bag of sugar-free taffy (which for me is a great gift)!

Alavairthae, may your skill prevail

A movie (Free Guy), a Xbox series x, and a couple Xbox live money cards.

"Iriaebor is a fine city. So what if you can have violence between merchant groups break out at any moment. Not every city can offer dinner AND a show."

Wow, those are nice! I wish they had stuff like that when I was playing. Clear plastic was the top of the line back then.

You guys get something in Christmas?

Instead of seeking change, you prefer a void, merciless abyss of a world...

Certain Christmas lore includes a custom of gift giving. I believe derived from the three wise men bringing gifts to a child. Also the was a Nicolas in the German area that made a practice of giving gifts.

So indeed if at least a few Countries of the World gift giving is common, in some so commercial that some object to that custom.

"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards."
"Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding.
"After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first."

Oh, I was being ironic. I just haven't had a Christmas present in a long time.
