Can dragons of different colors mate? (Say a blue and a black dragon? Or black and gold?)
If yes-
What do the offspring look like?
*One or the other parent (Like a drow-moon elf matching)
*A combination of both skin tones (like a half-elf's)?
*Or do they all hold the genes for every color?
*None of the above? |

the .pdf-format is not illegal as such (though for other reasons I would vote it to be  ).
Truth is that there are a lot of illegal copies floating around in cyberspace (in .pdf-format and other). Luckily there also loads of stuff available as freeware* nowadays. My collection of legal .pdf-FR-stuff, doesn't fit on a single CDR, to mention something.
Ahrm ... trouble is I can't remember where to find them. But someone will, probably that bloke Mumadar again (he most often comes up with the right url irl)
this is a challenge of course: who's first to help this teen(y) girl on the address of legal D&D and FR downloads? |

Close enough. *rolls eyes* I'd have to use my dad's PC and he never lets me on it. *scowls* He also doesn't like having anything 'illegal' on the PC. Unfortunately, he's a PC buff, so he knows more than most parents do.  As people here say: "My a$$ would be grass" |

I suppose you are under 18 then. And regarding your parents, do they think Bill Schnoebelen is a great guy or what is going on?
Since a lot of AD&D products (especially D&D, AD&D 1st ED, Spelljammer, Darksun, Greyhawk and those rare campaign worlds) are very hard to come by these days I would suggest getting eDonkey2000 or some similar program. A LOT of these products can be found in .pdf format. Which of course is illegal. |

It might depend on the world they live in (like in Athas, humans and dwarves cannot breed naturally, and Torilian half-dwarves differ from Krynn half-dwarves). |

To illustrate Drizzt's comment a little, they don't choose to because of their natures (moral and ethical standards). This would make it very unlikely for a chromatic dragon to mate with a metalic dragon.
This aside from the aspect if it is technically possible. All dragons belong to the group: dragons. This doesn't mean they can interbreed, just as a dog and an elephant can't breed though they're both mammals. (I'm not a biology or species major so I might be slightly off on the details...)
I'm not sure if there is any 'official' ruling on dragons interbreeding, though if I were to create a union between two dragons, I would probably rule that the offspring would be one or the other color, not a mix. |

Every girls loves barbies at one point in time, man! You think that AD&D would be flooded with 'barbie and pikachu-loving little girls' just because of that? Not likely. When I was a little kid, it was their power and majesty that attracted me, not that they were 'cute and fuzzy'. *gags* Think about a green gold pairing or even black and gold. They're not fuzzy and if anything, I'd say they were more deadly than the parents if they have abilities of both. |

Imagine what horrors a creature like that could produce. (A)D&D would be swamped by little giggling barbie- and picachu-loving girls swayed by the cuteness of fuzzy miscoloured dragons.
So that is why dragons do not produce bastard children. |
