Posted - 08 Mar 2014 : 19:40:41 A low-level illusionist might rely on mundane sleight-of-hand, legerdemain, palming, misdirection, and deception to accomplish what his weak spells cannot. These sorts of skills are often lumped within thiefy Pick Pockets %, and every D&D edition provides some sort of option which could merge illusion and thief class abilities.
2E Player‘s Option: Spells & Magic provided a good nonweapon proficiency for this purpose, allowing Cantrips to be incorporated into staged entertainments.
A bard is an excellent suggestion, provided he learns some spells useful for “stage magic“. |
