You know, I actually don't remember. It's been well over four years now since I mentioned that. I do remember looking the information up. I just can't recall which adventure it was. Looks like I'll have to go searching once again. |

There was an undead 'tiefling' rogue who was also the head of a vast multi-planar criminal organisation, which had operations running on a number of Material Planes. The actual organisation, called 'The Seven Fingered Hand' (you had to read the adventure write-up to understand why they call themselves that) was detailed in a special appendix to an old 2e adventure...I'll look through my tomes for more details. It had stats for the rogue leader, whose name I can't seem to remember at the moment...it was something, 'something Black'.

Posted - 26 Sep 2008 : 10:36:23 Hrm... okay, THO, I have to take a guess at this one... a good lich meddling and manipulating from hiding to preserve a realm... I can think of several, including one that has actually appeared in print:
Bandarl[I think?] - High Old One of Dumathoin, keeper of the secrets of the Melairkyn (Undermountain Dungeon Crawl, 2E) Ioulaum - hybrid human/Illithid Elder Brain - possibly a protector of the powerful magic of the Old Netherese... Baerauble (Cormyr) is a neat idea... I think I'll use that, whether it's NDA canon or not... We know now that the Srinshee isn't a lich, but it's good to see her back in the Realms. Hmm... what about Larloch? The question there is, which realm? So many kingdoms have come and gone in the North that it doesn't make sense for him to be the one involved... unless the realm in question is his own little lichdom and all of his servitor liches... I just hope we see something come out of this NDA... and if it can be rescinded due to a project being dropped or released, that would be nice too; this thread *is* four and a half years old... not to mention the fact that it's been almost two years since its last post. |

Posted - 07 Oct 2006 : 09:21:10 If you looked at non-deity individuals then the following would certainly be in the running.... Larloch That Undead Elder Brain Umvour the Undying Shoon in his original demi-lich form.. Most of the Twisted Rune
However there are some extreamley powerful individuals in the supplement Lords of the Night: Vampires. The First are a council of 2000+ year old vampires who all have epic class levels as well. |

Posted - 12 Feb 2004 : 15:44:13 At the risk of being obvious, Larloch. Although the home Realms campaign has also featured some "good" liches (one of them made it into the Shadows of Avatar novels, and another into Temptation), and Ed did have one who meddled and manipulated (as Elminster does) from hiding, to preserve a realm (no guessing which one, now :} ). |

Posted - 12 Feb 2004 : 00:23:49 You mean, Orbakar, one of the clones of Manshoon? Yes, I think he would be one. Hey, how about Szass Tam of the Red Wizards of Thay? He is a very powerful lich...
EDIT: I forgot to mention one more. The Twisted Runes. They are an organization created by a group of powerful liches and vampires. I think they would be pretty good undead lords... |
