So I'm guessing that's mostly how they came up with the numbers. But they're not bad, in my opinion... definitely good enough to be used in a pinch, or if you're not dedicated to building your demographics with great accuracy. And if you are, then you won't find your work cut out for you in any splatbook.
But if you're just asking for where the tables are, I think that's all in the 3e DMG, but sadly I don't have my books with me to check. Spending Limit is the highest price someone will pay for something (that is, anything) in that settlement. Assets is better described as the total amount of liquidity (gold, silver, gems, etc. and even barter goods) in the place, so one would be really hard pressed to even get near that amount in sales. |
