hey markustay,

Have you seen this?

http://weburndowntheinn.blogspot.com/2012/04/how-to-google-earth-your-campaign-world.html

Do you have your Faerun maps layered already?

Would your maps work with this or would they need to be adjusted?

That looks pretty sweet! I'd love to see someone really flesh this out.

I was playing around with it a bit a while back:

This would be awesome to see. But remember to take into consideration map projection issues.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Map_projection

If you project a square or rectangular image onto a globe, you'll get distortions at the poles.

Wow.. just wow. Oh how I wish there'd be a new Interactive Atlas.. or some fan updates/expansions! I truly fear the day when I can't get the maptools program to open in windows anymore.

Wow, that's pretty damn cool, and would help with a major issue I keep running into - fitting everything from a small, detailed area (like Cormyr) onto my world map.

I am definitely going to be playing around with this - Thanks for sharing!
