Sorry if this is an improper spot for this thread. But I've been playing??...reading??...using??? this app for the past few days and I freakin love it. I was addicted to Steve Jackson's books as a kid. The developers did a great job of integrating his work into a new medium. I'd highly recommend it if you have an iPad.

Yeah, US Steve Jackson is possibly the only person to ghost-write a book under his own name.

I read some of the Fighting Fantasy gamebooks, back in the day... But from those linked articles, it's not clear which Steve Jackson wrote them! It says one did most of them, but the other guy also wrote some!

Oh wow, I didn't even know that. I always thought he was the same guy. Thanks for that info.

It's a different Steve Jackson, folks. :-)

The Steve Jackson who wrote Sorcery! (along with a lot of other gaming stuff) is British. The Steve Jackson who wrote Ogre (along with a lot of other gaming stuff) is an American.

What Kentinal said holds true for me too. I think Mr. S. Jackson makes plush Cthulhu's toys ...right?

Illuminati is a cool game. It is definitely a game meant for in person play. I haven't played it in years though. I might have to pick up a new version of it for boardgame night.

I'm surprised there was no chatter over this topic. Maybe I'm dating myself with the Steve Jackson books. But since I didn't have many friends to game with as a kid, the Choose Your Own Adventure books were like gold to me. Regardless, if you're a fantasy fan I would give the app a look.
