I was hoping the scribes here could assist me in a little research I'm doing for a fiction piece. I was wondering when the earliest cannon appearance of a dead magic zone occurred on Toril? From what I've been able to gather, this is first introduced in Forgotten Realms Adventures, back in 1990, as a result of the Avatar Crisis 1358DR. Can anyone recall an earlier occurence? |

Probably a few strands of the weave were damaged during the brief time that Karsus was in charge of it in his failed effort to retain control (like when someone tries to take something you're holding from youand it rips as they take it). |

In case my original post is ambiguous, I did not intend to limit my research of the phenomena of dead magic zones to those that occurred as a result of the Godswar; so if there is an occurrence of the phenomenon prior to those invents, I would find this very interesting. |
