What an identity crisis that was . . .

I'd assume you are referring to my old avatar, right?

I think I have to say Arivia. Looks really cool with the tatoo. The lightening also looks pretty nifty.

I think the best avatar is a close match between Alaundo, Bookwyrm, The Sage, and Cherrn. And the winner is... *Ahem*... Duh? Drum roll please... Dumdumdumdumdumdumdumdumdumdumdum.... Alaundo! *Cybal Crash*

*Groans of 'Suck Up' fill the air*

Sting was of House Harkonen. A cousin. I think he sucked, so try to refer to someone cool instead of putting your awesome hairdo down with that guy.

No argument here. Flame red it is then! Still spiffy!

Pink is such an unusual hair color for a man? ::hopes that's a male..if not her sincerest apologies::
Cherrn Posted - 03 May 2004 : 19:35:28
My new one is the best by far

Then again, I had to say that

Well, rest assured, then. Your memory is just fine.
Xullrae Zauviir Posted - 02 May 2004 : 23:55:43
So true.

I absolutely love art, just as much as I love role-play.

I don't remember if you posted a favorite Bookwyrm?
Bookwyrm Posted - 02 May 2004 : 23:43:39
I don't blame you. No matter how good your imagination, it's always nice to actually see your character . . . .

My vote would of course have to be Xull'rae, lest I wouldn't be portraying my smitten obsession with her overly well

But seriously, I agree that there are too many to choose from. I like some of the established works as well as commissioned portraits. Very fond of Avaly's as well as Xull's, as we are fans of Kay Allen. In fact, Xull commissioned a duo portrait of her and Vesz'aun from Kay last month, should be completed around the beginning of June.

Yes, we have a tendency to spend too much money on character portraits, even had a few anime and chibi pics done, its our little vice
Xullrae Zauviir Posted - 02 May 2004 : 22:46:36
I prefer comissioned portraits..as most of them are done by no name "unprofessional" artist, as opposed to the professional famous artist whose art is displayed everywhere on the web.

So my vote goes to the portraits like Avaly's and Yasraena's, and Vesz'aun's.

Truly there is no "best" one though. They are well done by talented people!

Greetings,

This is a difficult question to answer, since most of the avatars are pretty good. Some of the best however would have to be the ones taken directly from the CRPG's, but my favorite would have to be the avatar used by Bookwyrm.

Good learning...

Easy one! Since he has the same as yours , try an other one

::looks around:: Um....um....oka~~~~~~~~y, my faveorite (?sp?) avatar on the site would have to be Salus Kai's. It was my original avatar for MAlice until I found one that looked even more like him.

Well, my favorite avatar would have to be Araushnee's (sp.) avatar. It just looks...(for lack of a better word) cool.
Alexis Merlin Posted - 07 Apr 2003 : 22:32:24
Hi all,

I would have to say that Avaly's one is my favourite, although the one of Jaheira from BG2 is also rather nice (I have to say that I did prefer that one over her BG1 portrait...although that doesn't seem to be the consensus from what I gather on various BG topics both on this Forum and others)

Thanks Bran, but I can't take the credit, because I didn't actually draw it. I only wish I was that talented!
I found it on one of the many fantasy art sites on the web, I believe it was Elfwood, when I was looking for a color pic for Yasraena. The ironic thing is, this color one looks almost exactly like the B&W one I had commissioned for her. The only thing I did was use Photoshop to scan and edit the pic so I could have a custom avatar.

She does do book covers although and does this all on computer. Kay does nothing with paper, pen or paints....just the computer, which I thought was amazing. If things go well, I might have her do Luna.

And I assume there is some sort of fee associated with this? If it is not something that can be discussed openly please feel free to email me what I might expect in the way of a price range. I have a keen interest in having a really good portrait of Nighteyes done.

WHOOPS!! It helps to read the posts in the order they occur. Never mind Avaly I will email you, since it is I who want the information...
