Have any of you ever been involved with one of these games? I was just curious because there was a game offered in the newest Dragon (336).
Any experiences, good or bad, I'd like to hear! :)

Alright, well, I'm going to sign up and see what happens... Anyone else want to join? The Dragon one is the one I mean. Kuje, I'd better see you there!

Posted - 16 Sep 2005 : 05:51:32 I joined a play-by-mail campaign early last year... based on the Midnight campaign setting. It involved a number of players from both here and WotC. It fizzled out after a few months though, at least for me, because I was doing a lot of travelling at the time and couldn't keep up with the mail at every new location (my chess-by-mail games also suffered the same fate ). I try to keep up with play-by-email games though, because it's much easier to stay on top of the mailed sessions regardless of where in the world you are (and for chess fans, I also recommend you try playing games of chess over email as well).
I'll send you a couple of our basic campaign logs. They should give you some idea about what it is like to play a campaign like this.
