Hello -
Have any of you ever been involved with one of these games? I was just curious because there was a game offered in the newest Dragon (336).
Any experiences, good or bad, I'd like to hear! :)

I tried one, once. It was kind of interesting, and I was enjoying playing it. Alas, but for some reason, I abruptly stopped receiving the mailings. |

I've been pondering signing up for that since I saw it a few issues ago but wasn't sure if it was any good. :) |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

I joined a play-by-mail campaign early last year... based on the Midnight campaign setting. It involved a number of players from both here and WotC. It fizzled out after a few months though, at least for me, because I was doing a lot of travelling at the time and couldn't keep up with the mail at every new location (my chess-by-mail games also suffered the same fate ). I try to keep up with play-by-email games though, because it's much easier to stay on top of the mailed sessions regardless of where in the world you are (and for chess fans, I also recommend you try playing games of chess over email as well).
I'll send you a couple of our basic campaign logs. They should give you some idea about what it is like to play a campaign like this.

Thanks for the input... I appreciate it!
Alright, well, I'm going to sign up and see what happens... Anyone else want to join? The Dragon one is the one I mean. Kuje, I'd better see you there!
