I'd like to take a try at converting the 2e magical item creation rules to 3e. They had more flavor and personalization to them. However, instead of the old enchant an item and permanency debacle, I think using an existing tool in 3e would be more fruitful-the incantation system(which appeared in Unearthed Arcana and Urban Arcana.). Is there any interest in this, and is anyone willing to lend a hand? I don't have much beyond a rough idea yet-I have yet to go back through my 2e DMG.

Oh well, let me know in a few weeks then. I've nearly finished my 'Monk' PrC (which will be posted here shortly), as well as some updates for my 'Travelogue'. So, in time, I may have some limited moments in order to assist you.

Let me know anyway...

I wish you the Lady Tymora's luck...

I don't blame you-I'm truthfully judging impact and interest now-Nothing will/may come of this for a few weeks, when my commitments lessen...

I'm going to end up looking at all the versions you pointed me at, Wooly-thanks for the listing, by the way. Just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Though I don't recall them off the top of my head, I thought that the magic item creation rules in Volo's Guide to All Things Magical was the best set that came out in 2nd edition. Have you looked at those?
