I'd like to take a try at converting the 2e magical item creation rules to 3e. They had more flavor and personalization to them. However, instead of the old enchant an item and permanency debacle, I think using an existing tool in 3e would be more fruitful-the incantation system(which appeared in Unearthed Arcana and Urban Arcana.). Is there any interest in this, and is anyone willing to lend a hand? I don't have much beyond a rough idea yet-I have yet to go back through my 2e DMG.

Though I don't recall them off the top of my head, I thought that the magic item creation rules in Volo's Guide to All Things Magical was the best set that came out in 2nd edition. Have you looked at those?

I'm going to end up looking at all the versions you pointed me at, Wooly-thanks for the listing, by the way. Just haven't gotten around to it yet.

To answer your first question, yes, I am interested in this idea. But to answer your second question, no, I am unwilling to lend a hand. I have enough things to complete on my workbench as it is, and while I'd like to help...I simply do not have time unfortunately...

I wish you the Lady Tymora's luck for this project...

I don't blame you-I'm truthfully judging impact and interest now-Nothing will/may come of this for a few weeks, when my commitments lessen...

Oh well, let me know in a few weeks then. I've nearly finished my 'Monk' PrC (which will be posted here shortly), as well as some updates for my 'Travelogue'. So, in time, I may have some limited moments in order to assist you.

Let me know anyway...
