My players are adventuring into Thar.
I have a jpeg map of the Moonsea sourcebook but the scale is not shown on it. Just that 1 inch would be 15 mi.
What would be the distance (as the crow flies), between :
Phlan-Melvaunt?
Melvaunt-Thentia?
I'm looking for the most accurate figures. So I can superpose a hex grid on the area with Photoshop...

It depends on which map you're using.
Most (but not all) maps show a slightly greater distance between Melvaunt and Phlan than Melvaunt and Thentia.
The most recent map of the Moonsea (appearing in Dungeon #170) shows Phlan being fifty miles from Melvaunt but the map doesn't include Thentia (which it should do if Thentia is closer).
Taking all this information into account, I'd say Thentia is roughly 35 miles from Melvaunt. |

I'd guess about 50 miles in between each.
