With Lantan's demise in 4E Realms, I don't understand if there's still an NDA on this. If so, why? It's destroyed and not coming back, unless this is the designers way of saying they are bringing it back? (when, I'd love to know).

If we have no choice other than to wait on an official Dungeon Magazine article from Eye on the Realms to get decent info on this realm, are there any good unofficial collections on Lantan to use?

I am surprised this fascinating place received so little attention.

Core 1-3: Sense of Wonder, that's what it was. You explore a Temple of Gond that rises to the surface of the waters from a rare occurence of tides and an earthquake that will lead the temple to the surface for a short time.

anyway, alot of things I asked for are also nda, which has another meaning, its left open for a possible novel.

Lantan for all we know may be underwater with Gond having warned them ahead of time, and created an alchemical based mythal to allow them to live under the sea, in an octopus's garden in the shade.

If only that were true, I believe one of the 4E Living Forgotten Realms modules has an adventure involving the destroyed Lantan. I'll have to look more into it, but I think it just may be gone for good (unless, of course, the residents live "elsewhere").

Keep in mind it's easier and cheaper to leave an NDA in place than it is to go thru the effort of lifting it.

Are you aware of AJA's old 'Lantan' write-up from his [now deactivated] "Yet Another Realms Website?"

AJA's work is always good and his [obviously not all canonical] write-up is worth a serious look. It can be found here, using the Internet's Wayback Machine:- http://web.archive.org/web/20041121100301/http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Castle/2566/lantan.htm

[Remember, you'll need to cut-and-paste the link above into your browser's address bar, for it to work correctly.]
