Posted - 26 Aug 2009 : 03:18:48 Does the Cloak of Charisma grant bonus spell slots when worn or not?
I have a player asking me this and am not all that sure about it. I'm thinking that it doesn't add bonus spell slots, since if taken off you would lose those slots immediately, although it would still grant a bonus to Charisma. |

Posted - 27 Aug 2009 : 18:05:01 Enhancement and inherent bonuses to ability scores are no different from having that score naturally. The only exception to this is that an enhancement bonus to Intelligence is not included for calculating skill points. |

Posted - 27 Aug 2009 : 16:09:50 I allow it for a short time even when you take it off, it has a lingering aura. Like taking a bath. After wearing it for years the period extends.

Posted - 26 Aug 2009 : 13:39:22 So far as I know, anything that boosts a stat gives you all benefits of that boosted stat, unless the description says otherwise. You'd lose all those benefits if the item was removed, but as long as it's there, you're good. |

Posted - 26 Aug 2009 : 08:14:05 In theory, it should for a sorcerer or bard in 3e, depending on how high their original CHA score was, and how much more they need to get a bonus spell slot.
In the BG series for PC (2e game), when you take off items that give bonus spell slots, you lose the spell slots, and the spells stored in them. |
