Rich Baker has recently mentioned on the WotC FR message boards that there are two new products "in the works". One will be dealing with 'the South' and the other with 'Lost Empires'. The latter will be set in the present, not the past.

Well, Josh Sortelli seems to have chosen to expand this into a storyline for the comic, which does mean there's another strip available at the location above. Oh, and the punchline won't make any sense unless you're a longtime reader.
Bookwyrm, you might have seen the strip for the 22nd. It begins with the strip before that. |

Yes, I recognised Duke Nukem (although, only from having once played through a 3D game), and of course Spock, but now that you mentioned it, the child does indeed look like those screaming kids from that Dragonball show...

I believe that's one of the characters from one of the Dragon Ball series...*shudders*...and yes, the other two characters were Duke Nukem and Spock. |

I just checked the Tome of Magic, Sage. It's not there.
Anyway, I'm truly responding to bring this up. Nice commentary on the Drizzt trend...and the relevance to this topic is the bit on regional sourcebooks(if you can find it.). I mean the comic, by the way. |

There's no rush though, I just felt the need for scribes here to be able to express a more expansive range of emotions and/or opinions.
Besides, sometimes scribes have diffcultly picking up 'sarcastic' remarks made by others, and this can be confusing...

Rad, I've had two updates since the period you last heard anything from WotC. The first update came in on 21st January 2003 outlining some of the new products to be released over the coming months, and the other in August 2003, which informed me of the DLCS's release.
Since that update last August, I've heard nothing but ethereal static from WotC...

GRRR This has been getting my back up for a long time now. There was a period of about 2 weeks where Novel section announcements did get featured on the FR home page. Why oh why do they still not do so, it makes no sense whatsoever.
This brings me to another point....does anyone still get the emails from WotC detailing all the various updates? I subscribed to the mailing list when it first started (from liaison@WIZARDS.COM) but havent had anything since the end of 2002! Just reminded me. |

There's two sample chapters now out for that novel. The first was at the end of The Black Boquet. Did you see that one?
The second I stumbled onto the other day when I saw the sample chapter for Elminster's Daughter. It can be found below
