Character Description and History

Notes on Roleplaying:

Kaus is one of the most hardest characters I've ever created due to the fact that the DM in his smug way allowed me to create multiple personalities for the Character. They are broken down as such:

1) Kaus- the true character: healer, friend, and all around basic guy is not somewhat of a shmuck when it comes to the world.

2) The Casa-Nova: The second personality has arrived for one thing, Women, and he believes his is the Gods' gift to them. This has gotten him in more trouble than in bed... but on the rare occasion it happens....VERY rare

3) The Child: Has the mental capacity of a child and usually cried a lot, is terrified of the dark and rather ineffectual in Battle. He did get the party sympathy points from a barwench though...

4) The Hate: A personification of Kaus' Rage and hate at his fate and the world. Has a particularly nasty streak when it comes to any form of outsider, from deathly powerful Mariliths to well meaning an benevolent Task Genies, it matters not, he'll tell them off, where to go and HOW to get there. He believes that they should serve creatures of the material plane.

5) The possessed assassin: This is a rather nasty curse that the DM added, This is a personality within the Obsidian dagger, a Soul bound to the Service of a Marilith. His task to kill the party a search for a particular sentient Lich skull/construct/artifact named Floyd ( A previous curse from the DM on another party member) The system I created to develop the personality change was unique if not random. When a stressful situation occurred for the character a d10 would have to be rolled, the number was what personality took control:

1-Kaus

2- Casa-Nova

3-The Child

4-The Hate

5-Assassin

6-Kaus

7-Casa-Nova

8-The Child

9-The Hate

10-Assassin

Kaus is a VERY difficult character to play and I suggest him only if you are confident roleplayer and have the DM's support ( which may turn to anger or pity, so be warned) Strength and power is not his main suit, it is the ROLE PLAY!!! Again Be warned

Description

Kaus Honorshield has not had an easy life. Abandoned by both sides he was found and raised in the service of Helm By his mentor, a Human Cleric of Helm, Alongar Saladin. A man who could see that the young Half-orc would gain if raised under the watchful Eye of Helm. As Kaus grew older he proved that his dedication in Helm was Absolute and was eager to protect the weak and innocent. Thinking his protégé needed some real experience Alongar sent Kaus to minister to a small village on the edge of Zhent controlled territory. The village of Thenore, in actuality a tiny community a no more than a few hundred, and just on the border of Moonsea and Dalelands region. Kaus was sent there to establish a Church of Helm and to minister to the people there. One thing was unexpected though, for Kaus, the Half-orc, Priest of Helm, to Fall in love with an elven maiden named Aludriel Calaudra. Although he attempted to claim her hand, and though she was astonishingly willing, Her father, Tharizal, did not enjoy the fact that a half-orc was attempting to court his daughter. Tensions rose but before Tharizdal could do anything a force composed of Banite and Bhaalite Troops moved in from Yulash in the North. A small war broke out that saw the village besieged. While able to hold the troops off, the town became a gathering place for adventurers seeking fame or fortune. Kaus joined one of those bands in order to prove his love and the power of Helm. The beginning of his bad luck had begun. The Party was... less than honorable and while he tried to steer them to the honorable path of Helm Kaus was beginning to feel a weight upon his soul. A silver and copper dragon entered the field performing good deeds but in the guise of Kaus. The party began to grow paranoid at their new member and Kaus was reaching his wits end. During the height of the battle a Bhaalite Mage Summoned a Marilith who laid waste to the city and the surrounding area as one of the party had summoned a Pit Fiend from a forbidden scroll he had kept secret. The sight of his beloved Aludriel being cut down was too much and Caused Kaus to fall into a catatonic state, when he awoke he was on a ship bound for the pirate Isles and a keep the party had yet to reclaim from a former escapade. But Kaus was not alone, within Kaus' head was Several personalities had developed. And a new item was now on his person a Obsidian Dagger that he did not dare part with.

RECENT EVENTS:

Kaus has recently been imprisoned in a Magic mirror as the Casa-Nova had attempted to put the moves on one of the Female party members whom had some rather powerful magic.... Is now oath-bound to her service ( in a sense, slavery) as he is returned to the mirror when he misbehaves. Although this is fine as Kaus has become fed up with the black outs and attempts on his life from some of the other party members, who were not jus dishonorable but outright murderers. He was temporarily imprisoned in a Genie fortress for bad mouthing the a female task Genie ( Casa-Nova put the moves on her, then getting exicted ended up drawing out The Hate). He escaped only thanks to another slave, who is now among the dead, causing a distraction. A Servant bound to a mirror, eternal when inside yet mortal when free, a mortal genie or servant of sorts. Cursed, or blessed, that is up to those asked. Kaus is all but a broken man, Slave to both a mirror and somewhere a Marilith mistress still awaits her lapdog to return with the item she sent him out to get.
