Character Description and History

I grew up in the City of Luskan. My father was a succesful scrimshaw merchant and my mother was an apprentice to a necromancer in the Hosttower. She was easily influenced by her master (as no proper mage should be). That wizards hated my father for his good fortune over his merchant friends. His envy grew and when I was 12, he had my father assassinated. Two years passed by and I had much sadness in my heart for both my father and mother.

Unfortunatly my father had a strong will. So strong, in fact, that he came back as a revenant and killed his wife while she slept. As I saw him shamble into the house, a rotting corpse with only blood thirst and revenge on his mind, I lost my nerve and silently watched as he ripped my mother to shreds in her own room. I could have called to her and woke her... but I was afraid. I WAS A COWARD! I vowed, as he fell down as a lifless hunk of flesh on the floor, that I would never let this fate be layed on another soul as long as I could do something to help.

I left home that night with what provisions I could find and left for Waterdeep to the most reknowned Temple of Tyr, to train as a Paladin of that most Just of gods. I trained for many years, and then went into the world practicing my skills in battle against all things undead. And so I have lived with Holy Vengeance and great sorrow balanced in my heart. Peace for the dead is all I seek....
